There are many all different plants referred to per title of pepper; virtually all come utilized inside food for the "hot" sensation that a chemical piperine or capsaicin induces on the tongue.

  • Various plants in the personal Piperaceae, notably the genus Piper, including the black pepper that appears on virtually each dining room table around area of the globe. Different preparations of the equivalent Piper nigrum plant besides create "white" & "green" pepper. Too, a genus Peperomia, which is included in the Peperomiaceae personal by a select few authors.
